Children/Youth

Nursery Ministry - Provide a warm and loving environment by caring for the infants and toddlers of SCC members and guests during weekly services.
Pre-School Ministry - Provide a warm and loving environment by caring for the three- and four-year-old children. Provide assistance to or be the lead teacher of a class, developing lessons and crafts each week.
Elementary Ministry Teacher – Teaching 1st-5th graders in a positive and interactive time for the children as they learn about Jesus.
Middle/High School-General Sponsor – Come alongside middle or high school students to provide general oversight on trips, weekly services or activities.
Middle/High School Small Group Leader – Meet weekly with a small group of students of the same age and gender for Bible study, life application and accountability.
Student: Tech – Assist students in operating and maintaining sound and lighting equipment for weekly services.
Adult

Adult Grow Group Leader – Intentionally leads a small group of fellow believers through a reproducible disciple-making process.
Encouragement Ministry Servant – This team is focused on helping people when they are hurting. Visit/phone call/text/write notes to those in the hospital, sick, shut-in, or mourning the loss of a loved one.
Chapel/Friendship House - Assist team who leads weekly worship service for the elderly residents.
Outreach Ministry - Opportunities to serve in various capacities in our community through assisting other non-profits, special outreach events, donating or serving food, house cleaning, home repairs, etc.
Prayer Ministry-CALLING ALL PRAYER WARRIORS! Members of this team rotate responsibilty to be in the prayer room during and between services to pray for the service and pray with anyone coming for specific prayer.
GriefShare Assistant - A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. A GriefShare Assistant will help the group leader minister to those in this time of need.
DivorceCare Assistant – Participants in DivorceCare connect with a DivorceCare group at Spencer Christian Church who are processing the pain connected in divorce. A DivorceCare Assistant will help the group leader minister to those in this time of need
Hospitality

Kitchen Team Assist with shopping for food, meal preparation, serving meal and/or cleanup.
Housing – Provide short term housing for missionaries and other guests of SCC.
Coffee Fellowship – Assist with preparation, distribution and cleanup of coffee and snacks during regular weekend services and special events.
Projects/Events – Assist with a variety of areas as each event on the church campus comes along. Each event has a unique set of opportunities and offers a limited commitment time but a chance to make a big impact.

Next Step Room Decision Counselor – Serve during the end of Sunday morning services to pray with and assist people who come forward in making decisions to join the mission of SCC or to be obedient to be immersed.
Baptism Team – Serve those who have made the decision to be immersed into Christ by leading them to the changing room, ensure information forms are gathered and help assist with laundry after the baptism.
Worship Team (Vocal/Instrumental) – Assist in leading worship for adults during regular weekend services and special services.
Guest Relations – Provide clarity for individuals inquiring about finding their way around the building, ministry opportunities, and general church information.
Parking Team – Greet and provide assistance and direction to parking spots for those entering the SCC campus.
Greeter – Open doors, hand out communion emblems and greet people as they enter and exit the building for regular services and events.
Audio/Lighting/Video Production – Assist with technical support in these three areas for weekly services and special events.
Communion Team - Assist with prepartion of communion trays prior to Sunday morning worship services.
Facility/Administration

Building Maintenance – Assist with providing upkeep and maintenance of the entire building structure and mechanical equipment (HVAC, plumbing, painting, floors, electrical, drywall, carpet cleaning, etc.)
Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping – Assist with providing upkeep of the entire church campus (mowing, trimming, snow and ice removal, parking lot and lighting, landscaping, etc.) and maintenance for the grounds and landscaping equipment.
Medical/Safety/Security – Assist with providing a safe environment for all large gatherings on the SCC campus along with providing security for all SCC assets 24/7 through established protocol. Respond to those in need of medical assistance during church.
General Cleaning – Assist with maintaining the appearance of the facility through general cleaning (vacuum-dust-garbage disposal-etc.).
SCC Park Mowing team-This team help keeps our park looking nice and welcoming. The team shares responsibility of mowing and care for the mowers.
IT Support – Assist with various technology needs of a growing church.
